Sustainability Week (formerly Focus CSR) is SASSE’s oldest and largest sustainability project! Held in Spring every year, Sustainability Week is packed with lunch lectures and panel discussions with interesting speakers from different industries talking about sustainability in all of its forms. The goal is to shed light on the topic of corporate social responsibility.
The week ends with the Sustainable Career Fair gathering organisations from the corporate and nonprofit sectors, ranging from start-ups to established institutions. As a student, you will have the chance to engage with professionals sharing their knowledge and potential career opportunities.
To organise such a large event, 11 students are recruited in September. Positions offered include marketing, external relations and logistics. As part of the Sustainability Week project group, you create an impactful week and connect SSE students to companies with a shared passion for sustainability.

The Future of Food banquet is the final happening of Sustainability Week, and one of SSG’s most popular events. The banquet is a unique event in SASSE where students have the opportunity to discover food made with sustainability in mind.
The Future of Food banquet is part of Sustainability Week but the project group, consisting of one Project Leader and two Head of Events, is recruited separately in January. As part of the Future of Food project group you have the freedom to interpret the topic in any way you wish! In the past, the food has been vegan, locally sourced or even space themed. Keep an eye on SSG’s Instagram account to follow the recruitment and the ticket release!
