Facts or fiction? Gender differences in risk taking It is often argued that men are more risk taking than women. But how large is this difference and what is it due to? In this talk we will cover recent work on understanding and explaining the gender gap in economic risk taking. Anna Dreber Almenberg is a professor of economics in the Department of Economics at SSE. She is a Wallenberg Scholar, an Editor at the Journal of Political Economy Microeconomics and a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
