The Swedish fiscal policy framework has been a hot topic this past year and it was high on the agenda at the Social Democrats’ Party Congress last fall. Since then, global developments and the conditions for the Swedish economy have changed drastically due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. What are the policy implications of increasing inflation, rising energy and food prices and a continuation of high long-run unemployment? What are the implications for financial and monetary policy?
To discuss these issues, SEK (Socialdemokratiska Ekonomklubben) wishes a warm welcome to an evening of lecture and discussion with Laura Hartman, Chief Economist at LO.
