Does sustainable fashion exist, and if so, what makes it sustainable?
As an 2022 fashion consumer in Scandinavia you are constantly meet with marketing messages about how to make better and more sustainable fashion choices. However, there seems to be as many solutions to the problem as there are fashion brands. What do we really know about sustainability, and what does a more sustainable future fashion system look like?
On April 5th, Malin Viola will host a lunch lecture to discuss and inspire about sustainable fashion and the future of the branch. Malin Viola Wennberg is a dedicated advocate for research as a tool for change . Over the past years, she has held the position of Communications Manager within the research program Mistra Future Fashion as well as the position of Senior Advisor at the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency focusing on the environmental effects of the fashion and textiles industries. As of fall 2021, Malin is further deepening her knowledge of sustainable fashion and marketing by pursuing a PhD at Stockholm University.
